Ella: She used Mrs Peterson for her project. Ella had her get angry with a student and had a younger child sit in the room with them so that she could get the child's reaction. Unfortunately, Mrs Peterson got angry with the child and not the student. The child was frightened and almost cried...Ella and I had a discussion about the situation and she is not sure how to use the information she found. Her thoughts have changed from recorded voices to actual voices and she is still searching for a way to answer her question and represent that through art.
Jorgen: I talked with Jorgen about his project and it was quite intriguing. He is researching the "why?" to the way people think about things. He has noted observations about seeing the same things but reacting differently. His question is "How can I make something be perfect for everyone?" At this point, he is coloring in printed copies of brains in different colors in order to show how our brains internalize things differently. He wanted to show that we react differently. He is not quite sure as to how he will use the brains to represent the answer to his question.
Christopher: Is there a difference between natural things and machines?
He further explained his discovery that they are more similar than he first thought, giving examples of humans and plants being like machines and having systems. I feel like Christopher has a very deep approach to his question but represents it quite simply through art. He has created a small collage of a brain and the CPU. He has covered it in small pieces of yellow, orange, and red paper to illustrate fire. I am not quite sure what he means by this and will look to understand it more. He has also explained that our brains and machines can sometimes be hard to work with at the same time.

Stephen: Stephen has come to the conclusion that soccer is preferred because of the world cup. More people watch the world cup even though it only happens every four years. People prefer the super bowl but do not watch it has much. This is based off of the survey he gave to his classmates. Why do people like football when the whole world is interested in soccer?
Stephen is still searching for an artistic representation for his project. I feel that he could dig a little deeper as well.

Kenai: Kenai's idea is different and seems to lack direction. He wants to know how colors effect our mood? He is holding colors up to someone's face (whose eyes are closed) and then asking them how they feel after opening their eyes and seeing the colors. I am not quite sure how this connects and what direction he is going.
Matthew: What happens when you remove an animal from a habitat? What would life be like without me? He has talked with his parents and found that he is there to care for the younger kids in his family and it would be different if he were not in his "habitat". I had him think about it more and in his self-reflection he share that his family wouldn't have fun games to play or much entertainment. His brother (12 years old) would be meaner because Matthew often talks to him about things that are going on and how to deal with them. His parents would be a lot more tired and busier because it seems that his other siblings don't do much when it comes to helping around the house.
Annalise: She has created her mask and written words that represent thoughts she has about herself sometimes (insecure, impolite, scared, afraid, not confident) She has painted over these words to represent that we often hide how we are feeling. She used a dark blue to cover the words, but not dark enough because she did not want to hide them completely.
Aubrey: She has taken all of the judgments that people turned in to her and pasted them to a paper that she will post around the school. I am not sure what kind of reaction she wants to get and how she wants to conclude her project but it is headed in a good direction.
